2007 Cross Training & Summer Conference Aug. 3rd-6th



In cooperation with ORGANIC VALLEY & The Conscious Alliance

Please join us for the first annual ARRR Cross-training & conference
near Boone , NC. We have collected a wide range of trainers from
through out the relief community. And have added some of our own
speacial blend of tricks to provide a comprehensive education for our
volunteers. It is our intent to prepare you for the trials and mental
challenges faced by us and the public during the unfortunate event of
deployment.

For those of you who had served with us in the field , you are more
than aware of the mental strife associated with this work. Long hours,
little to no comfort for anyone, and the intense trauma on a minute to
minute basis. It is important to prepare your self.

Training provided will be…..

Volunteer resilientcy (Undited Way)
techniques for keeping yourself energized and fresh.

Concepts of Emotional/Spiritual Care (Church World Service)
Basic concepts of how to engage individuals who have exsperianced
intenste trauma, and protect volunteers from the longterm effects of
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Pandemic Flu ( Center for Disease Control & Prevention)
Begining to understand Who, what , where , and how to prepare for a
global Pandemic .

Introduction to C.E.R.T. (Aaron Funk)
Community Emergency Response Teams, a national program for first
response in the event of a catastrpohy on a local level.

Disaster Security (the Vermin Supreme)
An in depth introduction to the special application of security
measures in the zone.

Plus numerous mobilization excercises, team building games, Swimming ,
great camping, and a working council in the evening.

You will need to pre register before arriving , and we are asking for
a donation of $50 to cover the expenses. You will also be asked to
bring everything you will need for 72hrs, the list will be sent to you
after you register
