The merger with Querencia community group has been undone, probably for the best. The break-up was friendly. Our own group hopes to have the land purchase tied down within two months. We are also investigating the formation of a co-op to help finance the rest of the infrastructure.
The new Gaiasana group had its second meeting last Saturday, 24th of June. Our meetings take a bit longer than they should because we must say everything in both English and Spanish. Those that speak both languages, do this themselves but for others someone always steps in and helps by translating.

There are more and more calls on the Web to save the Earth by going vegan. There are statements that the average US burger diet releases more CO2 than driving a gas guzzling SUV so everyone should become vegan. May I respectfully suggest that someone is using "spin" techniques here. What should be stated is that it would be much better if everyone reduced their meat consumption to healthy levels and only ate animals that were fed foods not suitable for human consumption.
