My Testimonials

April 20, 2008
To my dance Sister!

You are beautiful, intelligent, talented, funny, quirky, silly and a damn awesome dancer! Not to mention pretty handy with a needle and thread! *giggle*Just wanted to let you know that having you in my life as a friend and dance partner has inspired me to be a better dancer and bigger dreamer! Our first time out as a duet was...what can I say..............magikal! I think Elevations will be my fondest memory of our sojourn along this slik road we have just begun to travel ! I know this is only the beginning of our amazing journey that lies ahead. Thank you for being a part of one of the greatest nights in my life!

My Recent Activity

I am ready. (blog entry) Several people have asked me why I got the tattoo of the heart scarab on my back about a month ago, and it's hard to explain the reason if you don't know me very well. Maybe this verbose disquisition will explain it a little better.

Went to see my greatest hero of all time tonight... (blog entry) ...and she was amazing! Tori Amos played a fantastic set at the Wells Fargo theatre. As usual, I cried, I cheered, I stomped and clapped my hands, I sang (as quietly as possible) and left an emotionally-drained but very happy shell of a girl. Tori... read more

Thank you for "An Evening in Transylvania" (blog entry) This has been one of the most fantastic and exciting projects I've ever been involved in. Sadly, it is now time to pack away the fangs and pale make-up and move on to new projects.

But first, a huge thank you to the wonderful Selayma for hosti... read more

Poems, You Ask for 'Em, You Get 'Em... (blog entry) Some bits of my poetry for those who asked. This is from several years ago, back when I used to write and was actually pretty decent at it.

According to Egyptian belief, a scarab amulet was placed over the heart of the deceased because the heart was one of the few organs not removed in the embalming process. Often on the underside of the amulet, Spell 30 from the Book of the Dead would be inscribed... read more

Tori did some of my all time favorites tonight (which is what made me bawl like a little school girl all over again!) including:
- Cooling
- Silent All These Years
- Siren
- Putting the Damage On
- Sugar (!!!)

And there were the ones that made me... read more

This has been one of the most fantastic and exciting projects I've ever been involved in. Sadly, it is now time to pack away the fangs and pale make-up and move on to new projects.

But first, a huge thank you to the wonderful Selayma for hosting us at BOOfest and to the Trilogy Wine Bar for the intimate, yet dramatic venue. (Thanks to Marjorie for her awsomely awesome belly-hop workshop too!) Many thanks to the talented Phoenix and inspirational Marrakech for having us at La Danse Macabre... read more

Meteor Shower

Stars are distant fires, and
an unfed fire must at some
length go out – its fury, its
comfort, is its impermanence.

In the frozen park, we watched
the stars cast their children to
earth, bright seconds every one,
extinguishing pre-impact.

Why are you here? he said,
I said I wanted to see rain, if
this thin flame could... read more
