Gothic Bellydance Video
So, I've been out of the mix for awhile and taking a break but now I'm ready to dance again. I've been working out and eating healthy and dancing at home. It's time to get back to the classes and workshops. This is my first foray into dancing again...a gothic style bellydance video to some drum and base music. The video is more about the movement with the music than about the "bellydance" so I know you don't see a lot of traditional "dancing" but I hope you enjoy it. I really loved making it and dancing in front of a green screen was new to me. Please leave a comment...I would love to hear feedback for the next video I want to do.youtube.com/watch

Brocade Fabric Framed jewelry holder
Here's what I have hanging in my bathroom to hold some of my jewelry. It is made with a cheap-o cardboard from a box cut to fit the frame. I then lined the cardboard with polar fleece and glued to the back. Then the turquoise brocade was added on top and glued to the back. After that, I just popped it into the frame, added some strong tape to hold the back. The jewelry is being held by matching straight pins.img.photobucket.com/albums/v...share.jpg

Tribal Goes Flower Goth
I'm not much for big, colorful flowers on my head, so here's what I've come up with. I just started out with some regular fabric flowers that I had in my stash. The color doesn't matter cause they'll be doused with paint!img.photobucket.com/albums/v..._1108.jpg
I *ADORE* this paint that my husband had purchased for car parts. It is a black/silver metallic. I'll be buying lots more of this stuff very soon!

So, I just sprayed each individual flower. It took a couple of coats and me holding back the petals and leaves (disposable gloves would be good at this point to protect your hands and nails) and really coating the flowers.

Of course I needed some jingle, so I used E6000 glue to attach some little silver bells in the middle of the flowers.

Then my flowers were E6000ened onto a headband. It took lots of propping and positioning and needs to really dry at least 24-48 hours.

And here they are in action for one of my gothic dances.

Tribal Goes Gypsy
I couldn't have made this amazing bra without the help of my amazing costume designer friend Leyla. She taught me how to hand pin and sew together a bra and it is actually pretty easy and relaxing once you are used to it. :)I started by cutting out the pattern pieces and carefully folding and pinning them to the bra I was using.

Here are both cups pinned and ready to be hand stitched.

Here it is in the process of being hand sewn with some added fringe and potential ribbon.

Yippee. After literally staying up all night the bra is completely sewn and ready for a few more embellishments.

I'll be adding this ribbon/bead pattern above the fringe.
