April 6, 2006 I stopped at a convenience store this afternoon to get a cold soft drink for my 40 minute commute home from work. I had stopped there a number of times and the Hispanic clerk recognized me, greeting me with “Hi, Chief!” as I walked through the door and made my way to the cooler to make my selection.
