Help Create a Music and Technology Conference in SF

This year's LoveFest, the largest electronic music parade and festival will include a three day conference featuring top music talent showcasing the latest gear and software. The organizers are seeking a motivated individual(s) to assist in hands on management of the event.

YOU should be motivated by music, be organized, be eager to learn, personable, good on the phone, able to clear your schedule for the three day conference on October 1, 2 and 3. If you have ever worked in or around a business conference, you go to the head of the line.

WE are some of the folks that bring you the largest electronic music event in North America, LoveFest. This year the parade and festival will be held on Saturday October 4th, 2008 and the lead up is a week of parties, the world's finest DJ's and a conference bringing gear manufacturers, performers, software designers and techies all together in a tree day conference on everything you need to know to be an electronic music producer, performer or promoter.

About the Event:

With well over 75,000 people spreading the love along Market Street and at Civic Center, the 2005 Love Parade was a great success. The costs for city fees and personnel required for a downtown parade were huge however. So to offset those, many groups are coming together this coming weekend to raise the money to pay off the remaining debts, so that planning for Love Parade San Francisco 2006 can proceed full steam ahead!

For all those many people who forgot to give the $5 donation at the Love Parade gates, here is your chance to help make sure that Love Parade stays a yearly event in San Francisco, a city with an international reputation for Love in the streets.

All equipment, talent and labor for these events is being donated by the community and all proceeds will be split evenly between SomArts and Love Parade San Francisco!

The SomArts Cultural Gallery is a non-profit art gallery and event space that hosted many seminal electronic dance and art parties until those were prohibited in 1996 because of permitting problems. Because of the importance of SomArts to the community, the SFLNC pushed the City to allow entertainment at SomArts and full time late night permits were granted in 2003. Recently, SomArts completed a major building project to allow high occupancy for events, so the community is now coming together to help pay off some of SomArts construction loans! After almost ten years, SomArts will now be fully available to the community for special events!!!
