About Me - Nature's Child

Gender
Female
Age
49
Location
about me
Nature beckoned to me when I was a child. Offering me myself through green grass and space, blue sky and trees and animals.

Still Nature beckons to me, offering me more of myself. Gaia calls and all the romance in my Soul answers with delight.

I am, and have always been Nature's Child. In the natural world I feel my joy. I am transported aloft in the pure and simple beauty of what is.

Even the gentle brush of the breeze against my body holds a loving magic for me. All I need do is Be here to receive it. Colour fills my eyes and scents intoxicate my being, filling me with feelings and memories and visions...

Doing,Being,History,Stray thoughts...

Enjoy!

Why this pic? It speaks to me of light and shadow, and since this is the time when light and dark are moving through the balance it feels appropriate to me.

Best wishes for the Season!

I realise now that if I'd had any sense of self-worth at all as a child and young woman, my life would be completely different. I suppose this is obvious.....but I can't help but be amazed on looking back to the point of entry into my life of each mean, narrow, depreciative person that's peopled it. Amazed at how I just could not see past my own deep need for human connection enough, to realise they didn't rate, that the way they were was plain to see, if I had not been too needy to see it... read more

...we arrived in Brisbane in our 34ft sailboat 'Eikon'.

A beautiful sunrise found us looking at the long flat misty land in the distance, while playing "Great Southern Land" on the stereo and slurping a can of Fosters each! A large and beautiful bottlenose dolphin was swimming at our bow and rubbing his stomach on Eikon's hull. The heavy base notes of the song was making the hull vibrate and he was lovin' it! As he turned on his side to rub his belly on the hull he made eye contact wi... read more

...next morning could hear a lot of Willy Wagtail calls going on outside by the west verandah. On pulling up the blind we discovered Mum, presumably Dad and three gorgeous little chicky-poos on an outing! Hunting, feeding and defending the babies was in full swing for hours. Jees those guys work hard! Our sitting on the verandah eating breakie didn't put a kink in their style either. I ate mouthfuls of breakfast between oohs and ahhhs :D

I captured the above pic of one of the chicks. A... read more

We're going to be with the Ocean for a few days. At the Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area, about an hour and 3/4 drive from here, we can camp on the beach amid the Sheoak trees. :D Much as I love the Ocean, it's always hard to drag myself away from this bit of Rainforest!

Anyway, gotta go pack.

See yas when I get back!
