My Testimonials

April 19, 2007
I love AMANI- not only caused shes one of our great supporters. She IS BEAUTIFUL and talented and has drive to succeed.
I wont be surprised :0. She reminds me of HALLE BERRY- the eyes and the looks and charisma.
Keep up the good works and stay as sweet as you are our own, AMANI ZAFIRAH of AZ.
So dedicated student.

I have known Yvonne for almost 3 years. I have watched her grow in to an incredible dancer. Watching her dance is like watching a feather float on the breeze. She moves with a liquid fluidity.
She is shy so only a handful of people have had the opportunity to see her dance.
She is as graceful off the stage as she is on. A wonderful mother and a loyal friend.
I am always greeted with a warm smile .

I started belly dancing with Kathryn Ferguson in April of 2003 until March of 2007, and completely fell in love with Middle Eastern dance & music!!! I am currently taking classes with Gina Gonzalez. (What a firecracker!) I've taken workshops from Fahtiem, Zahra Zuhair, Nourhan Sharif, Aziza of Canada, Sonya (BDSS), Issam Houshan, John Compton, Aradia, Reda Darwish, Bahaia, Jillina (BDSS), Heidi of Domba, Princess Farhana, Habib, Jazmine, and Kahlea, Fayzha of Belly Queen, Naima and Serena of Ethnophonica, Mari & Olivia of Zafira Fance Company, Amy Sigil, Rashel, and Kari of Unmata, and & hope to learn from many others. Belly dance is one of my biggest passions and I am so happy to have it in my life!

First of all, I wanted to distinguish myself from any other Amani's out there.
But, most importantly it was because of the meanings.
Amani means wishes and aspirations, which to me means looking toward the future with hopes and dreams of always striving to get and be better.
Zafirah means victorious and successful, and after this past year and some resent events, I feel that while I will always continue to strive to get better, I have become victorious and successful in getting thru a lot ... read more
