My friend Faust. If Alec Baldwin, Edward Norton, and Christian Bale had a lovechild, it would be Faust. Although it's been a few years since we've been able to hang out with any frequency he will always be one of my best friends. A great person to turn to for advice for two reasons. First is that if you take his advice, it's usually the right thing, second is that if you don't take his advice it doesn't bother him and he'll stand by you.

Madame Bovary & I had plumped for the $245.00 seats in section 116. It was well worth the expense. We had a oblique shot of the stage. I was looking over Chester's right shoulder the entire night, & had an excellent view of Phil at his kit. I only saw Genesis once before at the ass end of Oakland coliseum for the We Can't Dance Tour. This was much, much better. ... read more 
So, 2007 is looking up for my musical side. As if the news of a Genesis reunion tour wasn't awesome enough, I see today that the fuggin' Police are getting back together to play a song at the Grammy's!!!

The word is a tour will follow. Now, I'm thinking that the two bands doing the reunion thing in the same year is waaaaay to much Synchronicity for me to take in Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. I'm going to bed. 
So not ten minutes ago I was sitting here looking at books by one of the great thinkers of our day, Colin Wilson, when I wondered what was going on with another of our great thinkers, Robert Anton Wilson (no relation). I googled him, wondering if he'd died yet from his post-polio complications and found this:

Happy Guy Fawkes Day everyone! I recommend metaphorically blowing up your own personal Parlaiment building. You know, something in your life that has become authoritarian and prevents you from being intellectually, emotionally, or spiritually free. Identify it, then blow it up in your mind.
