waranties and credit card calls

Okay, I have a cell phone only so you would think that I wouldn't be getting all of the crap calls. Not so true. One automated voice tells me that the waranty on my vehicle is about to expire and they are there to help. Now, I have 5 different vehicles, which one could they be talking about. They have called numerous times. What a pain. The latest one regards our credit card debt and how they can get us a lower rate. Somehow I don't think it will be 0%. I just hang up and go back to reading Bleak House or sewing.

Thankfully I don't do the text thing. Horrors! I even turn off my phone when I'm at events.

I still get the car waranty calls.. I talked to a guy and said "is this for a waranty on MY car?" he said "no"
jerks!.. My favorite is when a computer calls you and tells you TO CALL THEM because they have important news... OR to WAIT to speak to the next represenative!

all idiots!

I've noticed, using caller id, that spam calls are almost always from 800 numbers (or 888, 877, 866, you get the picture.)
So I just never answer those. No real person would be calling from a number like that.

How true Vytas. The vehicle waranty calls don't list a number. Usually I don't answer them on the house cell, but these are coming through on my biz phone. Sneaky companies. Jim is starting to get them on his work phone (that his boss provides). Funny, they haven't called on our house phone, yet.
