Tibet Spirit on Juy 14th, looking for short-term room to rent now!

We would like to invite you to a Sound Awakening evening at Tibet Spirit on Monday July 14th. As usual, bring a pillow and blanket for comfort. We will surround you with deep harmonic vibrations from didjeridus, gongs, singing bowls, flute and much more.
We will have a small selection of gongs and cds available for sale at the event.

In addition, we are reaching out to the community in hopes of finding a possible place to stay for the next month. There was an unexpected emergency with our house and we need to find a place to stay from next week until approximately August 7th - then we will be on the road.

We don't need much space but can't be anywhere with cats due to allergies. A single room, house sitting, studio, cabin - we're open to all suggestions. Right now we're in a hotel because we had to leave quick but we can't afford to stay here much longer. It would be best to be in the SW Portland area due to lots of appointments but we'd be open to hear about any opportunities whether housesitting or renting... Jen has great rental/credit references and I have good credit and have owned my home for many years.

If you or anyone you know are headed out on vacation we'd be wonderful caretakers - I've done landscaping/gardening for many years and we're quite responsible.

We need to find something right away, our hotel stay ends on Tuesday and we need somewhere to go!

Sound Awakening Evening

Greetings,

It's time for another Sound Awakening evening at the Crystal Temple - this Sunday evening (June 29) at 7pm with Tom Lange and Jen Ervast.

Come join us and soak in the deep soundwaves of didjeridus, gongs, frame drum,
singing bowls and more. We will be playing with the intent for the vibrations of these ancient instruments to help gently shake out the remains of the long wet spring and allowing the summer warmth to fill us up.

Bring a pillow and blanket for your comfort and let us surround you with a
tapestry of harmonics and vibrations from around the world.

There will be wind gongs and Himalayan singing bowls for sale at this and most other events. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in looking at these instruments at other times.

This is a reminder that tomorrow evening we would like to invite you into our home, our sanctuary of sound. This is a space that has been filled with over ten years of resonance from the didjeridu, Tibetan bowls, gongs and much more. These soundwaves have been created with intent and they have soaked into the walls, floor and mandala-covered ceiling. When we pick up these instruments to play for you, the room comes alive in harmony.

Please join us for an intimate and powerful evening of sacred sound from around the world. We will create a sonic tapestry to weave around each of you, giving you a unique and individual experience to to explore a space apart from your daily mindset. If you let them, the vibrations in the form of soundwaves will gently soak into your body and vibrate each and every cell of your body back to its optimal state of resonance.

We are also honored and excited to bring these sounds to the new Tibet Spirit store. They have moved recently to a space much more welcoming and soothing. The new location will be a wonderful spot to relax and soak in the deep didjeridu vibrations, rich harmonics of the Tibetan bowls and cosmic sounds of multiple gongs.

There have been requests from some of you for another sound healing workshop.
This is tentatively scheduled for Sunday April 27th - either a partial day (3 hours, $45) or longer day (5 hours, $65). Please let me know if you are interested and which you prefer. Whichever of these get more interest will happen.

Content will include an overview of the current field of sound healing, from pioneers of sound healing to those doing computer-based voice analysis and custom feedback on sound tables.

There will be discussion on various approaches both scientific and intuitive, from biofeedback to chakra and planetary based tuning as well as incorporating sound into other forms of healing such as massage.

For the rest of the session I share my own approach to sound healing which will include hands-on experience with Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, didjeridus and more.
This workshop will end with an opportunity to relax, lay back and soak up these soundwaves allowing all of this to sink in deep and full.

With over 25 years of playing music, I have focused on the didjeridu and sound healing as my main passion. This is something that is always evolving with new discoveries, instruments and opportunities. It is my pleasure to share my experiences and knowledge with you.

Sound Awakening evening at New Renaissance Bookstore

Greetings!

Jen and I have just returned from 3 weeks of taking the harmonic vibrations to
California. It was a wonderful trip but it's good to be home and we look
forward to sharing the sounds with you.

We have the wonderful opportunity to present our music at New Renaissance

West Coast connections?

Portland's a bit cold these days, don't you think? I need a bit of sunshine, need to thaw and dry out.
Jen and I are setting up a sound healing road trip from Portland to San Diego and back up. We're leaving February 17th for a bit over 2 weeks. I've been staying up quite late most nights working on logistics and looking for places to stay and/or play on our way.

Anyone know of spots that might be interested in hosting our Sound Awakening event? Anyone who might have a spare bed for a night? Most of our time will be in San Francisco, Santa Cruz and San Diego areas but open to opportunity and divine re-direction.

I expect to be getting a new (to me) laptop tomorrow and already have decent recording gear. I hope to do some recording with musicians we connect with along the way and I already have quite a few other cd project ideas that I'm eager to get to very soon.

I'd love to hear any thoughts...

Didjeridu Sound Awakening evening

As this year comes to a close, we would like to invite you to join us at the Crystal Temple for a Sound Awakening evening this coming Saturday, December 29th. The soundwaves created with the didjeridus, singing bowls, gongs and more are quite potent.
This is a wonderful opportunity to use the vibrations of sound to help gently shake out the stagnant energy and allow your body and spirit to prepare for a fresh new year.

We will return to the Crystal Temple again on Saturday January 19th.
