about me
what i do with my time:
i combine things.
make food, eat, make music, listen to music, dance, make art, learn from art, introduce people
connect community
learning many forms of communication
conversations, learn, pass on, talk to strangers
i balance
bringing order to excessive chaos and chaos to excessive order
comfort the disturbed, disturb the comfortable
wasted words
proves to warn
that he not busy being born
is busy dieing
make sure you feel it every day
cause if today had been our last chance
it's just something i wanted to say
A question in your nerves is lit
Yet you know there is no answer fit to satisfy
Insure you not to quit
To keep it in your mind and not fergit
That it is not he or she or them or it
That you belong to.
Although the masters make the rules
For the wise men and the fools
I got nothing, Ma, to live up to.
open your eyes now
let the truth bleed from your mouth
we're not too pure
we're not too proud
but we do shine out loud

all in all it's just another brick in the wall
all in all you're just another brick in the wall

You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is The Hour.
And there are things to be considered:
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your community. Be good to each other. And do not look outside yourself for the leader.
This could be a good time!
There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. See who is in there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we've been waiting for.

There are many societies where the populace consumes high levels of animal food and saturated fat but remains free of heart disease. Dr. george Mann, who studied the Masai cattle herding peoples in Africa, found no heart disease, even though their diet consisted of meat, blood and rich milk. Butterfat consumption among Masai warriors, who consider vegetable foods as fodder for cattle, can reach one and one half pounds per day. Yet these people do not suffer from heart disease. Mann called the lipid hypothesis "the greatest scam in the history of medicine." It is a scam that has been used to convince millions of healthy people that they are sick and must take expensive drugs with serious side effects, a falsehood that has persuaded Americans to adopt a bland, tasteless diet simply because their cholesterol has been defined as being too high.

Give away the things you don't need
Let it all go and you'll soon see
And you'll wash your spirit clean
Wash your spirit clean
Go and pray upon a mountain
Go and pray beside the ocean
And you'll wash your spirit clean
Wash Your spirit clean
Be grateful for the struggle
Be thankful for the lessons
And you'll wash your spirit clean
evolution is not ascension
it is INCORPORATION
it is to accept, include, clarify, transcend and GROW
we are not climbing a ladder, we are building a world within a world

We all know sometimes lifes hates and troubles
Can make you wish you were born in another time and space
But you can bet you life times that and twice its double
That God knew exactly where he wanted you to be placed
so make sure when you say you're in it but not of it
You're not helping to make this earth a place sometimes called Hell
Change your words into truths and then change that truth into love
And maybe our children's grandchildren
And their great-great grandchildren will tell
I'll be loving you

i love the way we can talk
when we don't want to expose
ouselves with words
there was a great wailing heard in our Nation. So much pain and sorrow and so many tears. Because of greed and power, our men were fighting and killing each other. The women were weeping for the loss of their husbands, fathers, uncles, and sons. As each tear drop hit the earth it made a sound that was heard throughout the heavens and beyond.
Our Grandmother Moon listened to the pain of the women of earth and went to our Creator to ask for help. Creator, as always, listened and said, "I too have heard the wailing of the women and felt their pain. I shall send them a gift to help in their time of need. Tell them, Grandmother, to gather at the light of the full moon, bring their drums and rattles. Build a great fire under the light of the moon and around the sacred fire, dance, sing and pray for your men."
Grandmother Moon sent Creator's words to the women on a gentle wind and all the women heard.
And so it was that they gathered with their drums, rattles, songs and their prayers. They danced around the sacred fire under the light of the full moon and prayed for the blood shed to stop and the dying of their men to cease. They prayed, danced, and sang until the moon went to sleep and the sun awoke. Their prayers were heard and their gift was given.
From this day on, because your prayers were so powerful and so filled with love; you, the women, will be given the blood of life, so that the blood of violent death will cease. Each month you will shed the blood of life, begining at the age when you will take a husband and from this blood human life will be born. When your children are grown your bleeding will stop because you have given enough and you will grow old listening to the laughter of your grandsons and granddaughters.
The women were happy again.

*****
We ask that you do as the women did in this legend on the full moon for each month. Dance, sing, and pray to stop the bloodshed and bring all our relations home safely. Build a fire in your own community or back yard.
If you can't have a fire, use a candle. Dance as long as you can and pray as hard as you can. If you can dance all night, dance all night, if you can only give 15 minutes, give 15 minutes. Dance with beauty and love in your heart.
Don't be intimidated, if you can only dance for a few minutes in your room with a candle, you are still giving as much as you can in that moment.
The vision is to spread this story and practice to all the women of the world and have this happening all at once, so we are all essential!
And don't be worried that you are not practicing the original way of the Cherokee culture, if we expect women all over the world to be doing this, we cannot expect them to conform to one form of spirituality. A way which is spiritual and meaningful to you is the right way, intergrate it with your own traditions and songs. Just please keep it sacred; parties have their place and are good, but this is ceremony which is simply different.
This is also a women's ceremony, and it is best to respect that tradition, sometimes men feel left out, but it is not done with the intention of or 'getting back'.
There are many ceremonies in which we are mixed, and there are some in which we are separated. Men's prayers are just as important, but you have your own ceremonies.
It may seem unfair to be left out, but that just opens an opportunity for you to gather in another place and ceremony.
tribes.tribe.net/moondancing
In one of the larger cities in the new world, there was once a changing group of people living "on the streets" that called themselves "The Tribe Of Crow". These were ordinary people, just like you and me, in the sense that they all grew up in houses, went to school for some time, have mothers and fathers, some are smart, some are witty, angry, mean, funny, jealous, beautiful, creative, curious..., and at times -- confused. Confused about some things, but not confused about feeling unhappy living the way they had been. They, unlike many others living on the streets, chose the streets as their new home, knowing it wouldn't be easy, but thinking that it would be better.
They soon learned firsthand the difficulties of their chosen life, for most lacked the necessary skills to provide adequately for themselves. Just like ravens, marmots, and gorillas, humans are no different in the respect that they too are not born with the necessary skills to survive, these skills must be learned. Their two biggest concerns, shelter and food, had been provided for them in the past and now it was time to obtain these things on their own. Living on the streets among others like themselves, they soon made friends.
One day, three of these friends were relaxing in the park, when one of them noticed two crows near the path doing something that he couldn't quite figure out. "What are those crows doing over there?" he said to the others, squinting to try to see better.
They all three watched as one of the birds held the bottom of a white bag with its beak, and the other unfolded the top with a combination of beak and talon moves that left the humans impressed. The bird holding the bottom of the bag, then lifted the bag up, stretched his neck up toward the sky and tilted it until all of the contents of the bag were emptied onto the ground. After a couple of good shakes, the crow set the bag down and joined the other in feast. The three onlookers were amazed at what they saw and said things like, "Can you believe that...?! Did you see how they worked together...?! Have they done that before...?!"
It brought them joy to see these birds joined together, as a team, working to feed each other. They sat motionless, mesmerized by the black birds and after a long moment of silence, the girl spoke softly and with passion. "We could do the same", she said. "We could work together to find food and other things that we need. We could form a tribe, and everything that we get, we share with the others in the tribe. We will be opportunists, like the crows, and be smart about what we do. There is much around here if we take advantage of the strength we will have working together under common goals. We will call ourselves, The Tribe Of Crow."
And this is how it began. In time, the Tribe Of Crow thrived off the disposable culture they had left behind. By putting that culture's waste to use, the tribe no longer relied on handouts for food or money or cigarettes or most anything, for they had what they needed all around them, free for the taking. The more they watched the crows and the patterns of life around them, the more they learned, and the more they learned, the more efficient they became at getting the things they needed.
Some of the members would spend hours at the public library or talking to others on the streets, doing research on survival skills and learning more about the native edible plants of the area. Some would spend hours, sometimes days observing the patterns of life around them, making notes about things like: when certain restaurants take out their "garbage", safe places that are overlooked by most, where and when possible trouble appears, and then fitting themselves into these patterns to use these opportunities for the good of the tribe.
They were feeling good about themselves and their situation for the first time in awhile. They were a part of something, similar to a family, but different, for they all felt needed in this tribe, and indeed they were. For they were all providers at times and recipients at times, and they only had one rule -- SHARE.
There was never a time when one went hungry while the others did not, they were all hungry, or all full, or all somewhere in between, but they always shared, and this worked well for them.

You're not human
You're a miracle
A preacher with an animal's face
everyone is scared, everyone's alone
unless hand reached for hand when the trouble comes
all around the world when the dark night falls
we should be sitting around the fire telling stories
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
