about me
"A oes heddwch?"
I am a alternative healer (Shamanic Counselor and Breathwork facilitator), practicing Druid, as well as an independant artist and designer. My interests include philosophy, environmentalism, defending peace through non-violent means, going for long walks among the trees and wild things, hiking up mountainsides, horseback riding, meeting other conscious people and enjoying every second of existence. In short I'm all about love of nature, life, glitter, and all that good stuff.

Although some have questioned Senator Barack Obama’s surprising embrace of faith-based initiatives, this is a very different proposal from the one put into practice by President Bush and which has proved to be a colossal failure. I praise Obama for his plan to scrap the Bush Administration’s faith-based initiative. However, he should also be urged to include stronger constitutional safeguards in his plan.
“I hope President Bush’s executive orders related to the faith-based initiative are r...

Massachusetts suffers from a continual loss of public parks, conservation land, playgrounds, forests, and other natural resource lands as state agencies, cities, towns, and even private developers look for building sites. These lands are meant to be protected by "Article 97" of the state constitution, which states that any change in use or disposition of land acquired for natural resource purposes requires a two-thirds vote of the legislature. Unfortunately, such votes have become commonplace...

... It probably looks and feels like Heathrow Airport when you've missed a connection after an overnight trans-atlantic flight. UGH! Spent 7 hours in that maze-like place on the way to Barcelona the other week because Orbits only gave me an hour between flights and it apparently takes at least an 1 1/2 hrs to get from one terminal to the next .... and watching planes lined up to take off at 30 second intervals gave me the shivers.
On the upside, I was on serious shortage of sleep and I beg...

Our natural parkways are at risk from two fronts:
ONE:
Massachusetts is graced with a unique historic parkways system, the nation’s first region-wide parkways network, started in 1899. Numerous efforts for decades have attempted to transfer the parkways to the Mass Highway Department (MHD) which the Sierra Club opposes because transferring the roadways would irreparably transform the parkways and boulevards, and no cost savings or other benefits have ever been demonstrated.
The recen...
