't'other day, was one of those blustery days, when nothing seems to be still. The night before we were nearly blown away, by some really serious storms. I was walking out to our barn, when all the sudden, a leaf blew right in my face. It did a li...

Passing
(blog entry)
Today my grandmaother passed after 19 days without nourishment. I know she was helped over by her mother and many others who have passed before her. I feel great sadness for my family, and emptiness.

Somehow it really set me thinking about how liberating it must be for our spirits, when they are loosed from their (our) bodies. My grandmother was not able to go like she wanted...

After my last blog, my grandmother's regular Doctor called and wanted to see her. He convinced the family to start the cumadin treament, and as her Doctor of many years felt that she would be able to handle the treament and to regain her strength. For the first few days that happened, and then my little Mamaw decided to stop eating and drinking anything. She told us very plainly that she would not take any more medicine, poison she called it, and after many attempts to change her mind my moth...

Three weeks ago my grandmother had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from her colon. She recovered miraculously, until Saturday morning Dec. 29 when she had a major blood clot in her leg and we rushed her to the local hospital ER. After treating her there, she was sent to a larger ...
