After my last blog, my grandmother's regular Doctor called and wanted to see her. He convinced the family to start the cumadin treament, and as her Doctor of many years felt that she would be able to handle the treament and to regain her strength. For the first few days that happened, and then my little Mamaw decided to stop eating and drinking anything. She told us very plainly that she would not take any more medicine, poison she called it, and after many attempts to change her mind my mother and her other children decided that she knew what she was doing.

Today makes day twelve for her with no food, water, and medicine. She has weakened considerably but continues to amaze us all with her strength and determination to die a more peaceful and dignified death. She is walking through the Valley of the Shadow of Death.

I have never been through anything like this before, and ask for prayers, strength and energy to help her in this time.
