My first lessons were 18 years ago with Shalimar Ali. I've taken lessons on & off over the years, from Siham Ali and am currently part of her troupe. Because I just can't get enough, I also dance/practice/sew on the side with other local dancers (Stephanie & the Hearts of the Nile formerly known as The Flying Zills). I am a sparkly cabaret girl at heart (although I love watching ATS, Goth, & all the fusion styles that are so popular now).
