i can't decide if i want to be an assassin or a poet.
so i went to the yard dogs roadshow tuesday night at the cannery room in nashville. i was so excited to get there i ended up there an hour early. the venue was beautiful. a huge room with a high exposed ceiling and string globe lights. although the room was big, the stage was set up in the corner and only maybe 20 chairs were put out creating a cozy, personal setting. i sat in the front row. during the excruciating 45 minutes of waiting, i did get to meet some interesting people. yard dogs road show with the indigo are coming to nashville. a mere 45 minutes from my home and i am so there!!!! i am so excited! aaaahhhhhh. i just need to scream or run around my office building a few times or something. and this time i'm getting photos with the indigo lovely ladies damnit!

seriously, how do you guys do it? i can't afford travel or workshops. even a full costume seems to be so far from completing. i try to save but then the money always goes somewhere else. i can't justify to myself "no this is for a tribal bra" when i'm hungry. i have dvds that i work with. and i know eventually i will get a better job. but i want to know how to progress now. i feel like a need a real teacher. a mentor i guess. you can't ask a dvd questions or really see exactly how somethings ...

that is my grandmother's name. it means "cedar tree". (which is also the type of wood her chest is made of, that which she keeps her hand knitted blankets in. when she gave me one i was so sad when the earthy smell went away..) i am going to visit her on sunday, i'll be gone until the next sunday. she lives in south carolina, near fort bragg. this will be my second time visiting her. see, i was adopted, and up until 4 years ago had never met my birth mother. she is japanese, and until then i ...
