I want to live in a fertile culture where anything can grow.
Art is my drug, just ask those around me. I find it all consuming at times a force, a creative force that takes me over, and like the preverbal leaf on the wind I go along for the ride and see where it will take me.
Unfortunately sometimes I get so caught up louse track of those around me. So its fortunate for me that I have such good people in my life to help ground me.
New Hampshire based artist Romeo Freakenstine:
Romeo is an artist currently living in Keene, New Hampshire.

Born in Worchester, MA, in 1962, Romeo grew up an Army brat and as such traveled the world. His interest in all forms of art comes naturally to him.
Inheriting his sense of esthetics from his photographer father, and his love of various crafts from his mother, Romeo's life-long obsession has been to create art. He is interested in a variety of artistic mediums; a sample of his wide range of projects include creating leaf spirals in his backyard, designing and making handmade quilts, and full body castings. He works with materials that are of current interest to him, and so creates 'series' of artwork. For instance, when in his 'teddy bear phase', he worked with many fur textures including mink, and created bears of all shapes and sizes.
Romeo attended Keene State College where he majored in drafting, design, and material studies. Once out of college, he apprenticed under a glassmaker from Worcester Mass, and also a make up and prosthetics special-effects artist. When pursuing a new path, Romeo is equally creative in finding the techniques and skills he needs, using the internet, video instruction, and public libraries. Networking with veterans in his current medium of interest is a natural for this outgoing man.

Spray painting isn’t Romeo Freakenstine’s only vocation. As a self-described modern-day renaissance artist, Romeo is equally comfortable and accomplished in many forms of art. His latest obsession, horizontal spray-paint art, came to him while visiting a childhood haunt in Hawaii last year. He gained an appreciation for the art form while watching a street performance, and decided then and there to join those trying to bring legitimacy to the genre. Romeo has been studying and painting in this new art form ever since.
