transitions
I'm feeling a little saddened about the transition of my 87 y.o. mom from driving to not driving. Her ability to drive has deteriorated recently. I now have her 91 Toyota Camry with 53K miles...at least for now. She felt it was the right thing to do..not drive after her somewhat recent accident..and forgetting a lot of important stuff.

Cat Power? Dream
I had this dream last night after the recent departure of our cat Rosie, who lived with us for 22+ years

I was being guided across the flat plains by a driver in an open Jeep-type vehicle. The place felt like it could be in Africa. It was hot and the driver decided to head towards the trees and water. When we got to this place I felt very afraid because under every tree was a number of wild cats: lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, cervils and others. Around the end of December 1969 I took off from Hotchkissville, CT in a VW bug for California with two girlfriends and a best buddy who was living in Oakland, CA.
