Yes its that time of year again kiddies where ya can go outside and play with out bursting into flames.
The party season is here and were are starting it off right! With the B and D Bash.If ya can remember the last one -Then ya weren't there! The middle eastern beats will be provided by Hazeh Rhythm,friends and a open drum.If any one wants to dance to a cd better let me know in advance.To all children off the flame,some toys will be there, bring your own if your picky like me. This is a bring your own substance to abuse and cabin person to munch on(pot luck) kind of laid back no drama all my friends gettin rowdy kind of thing.The atmosphere commonly involves games with Nudity and alcohol So no one under 21.You will be carded ! To all the ladies doin gigs that night,stay in your garb and stop by for a little fun!! This is an open dance and drum, Fire pits and carpet to dance on and a great atmosphere.

Moreeg Zahm and his group played for me on March 7th 2008. Oh lots of fun. For an old broad, I think I kept up pretty good. They are lots of fun to dance to. I only wish I could have stayed and enjoyed the night longer.

I come from a long background of music,.I got into the S.C.A a long time ago when I first moved here.I was working doing magic and fire eating up in Vegas and Laughlin and local gigs around Phx.
I met this silly old pirate who sucked me into the dementia known as the S C A . Where I picked up the love for hand drum.I then met this wonderful lady ( one of the best dancers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing) at Estrella who started teaching my now x .I would go out with her and show support,in doing so I started picking up stuff from being around the dancers .Over the years I have been fortunate to have played for a lot good dancers and with a lot of great musicians.Middle eastern music has been a tuff and a wonderful challenge. I have a great drum teacher so that helps a great deal.I started playing set when I was 9 and conga when I was living in FL. I kinda had a head start.Now that I have a mizmar and an oud The next step for me is to get a rebahba.I still play and write pirate music that will never change. Well just add sea water and poof instant group. I am currently writing music for the latest project : Hazeh Rhythem. We are not bad fer a bunch of white guys,We have been doing allot of gigs around town.We are having a blast! so far the ladies still like us so we must be doing something right.

I have had several dancers comment on my background with thunder. Dancers do not like African or thunder beats.

Since the break up of thunder things have changed.There are some good thunder drummers out there. As for me I started playing only what I heard since I play by ear.And I had no Idea what I was playing or the names of the rhythms For years the only time I ever played hand drums was at an SCA event.
