Yippee!! I thought I worked a good place and today it was verified. I was given a $25 gift card to Macy's for working so hard this week!

It has been a tough week. Monday at 9am I was smacked very hard in the nose by an autistic girl. It hurt like hell and I don't know how I didn't bleed. I thought that when I'd get hurt at work it'd be by one of my clients and I'd see it coming. This was not the case. That was not a good way to start the day. Then, I went to court later that day.

Jeez, this week I've been in a training all week with 10 hour days. I just finished taking the certification exam and I feel like I've passed. Yeah, I'm sitting at a hotel computer writing my blog. I have to go back so that we can review the exam and have a final processing session. That's what you get when you get a bunch of mental health people together!

I started work at the new job yesterday. I am using the degree I worked so hard for! It's been a bit overwhelming. There are so many new people to meet and try to remember, let alone the kids. This place is huge compared to the old work. There are several buildings, several service lines, and lots of direct care staff.
