Ladies and gents, I have a new job! I accepted a counselor position at DAMAR. I'll be working with adolescent boys who are MI/MR and a second diagnosis of some sort. I'll be providing family, individual and group counseling along with whatever else comes up. I'm scared and excited. I'm working on figuring out a start date. I'm trying to leave on good terms with my current employer. It's tricky b/c I have vacation time I haven't used and we're trying to figure if I can use it or cash it...

I went to my last class, I turned in my last paper and I did my last presentation. I have finished the MSW program! I'm planning on making my husband take me to a nice restaurant to celebrate.

Well, after a three year hiatus I finally made it back to the gym. It felt good to challenge my body. I only did 30 min on the elliptical machine. I managed to go a distance of 2 miles! I felt like I could have done more. However, I restrained myself. I knew that if I pushed it too much today I'd barely be able to walk tomorrow! I'm just happy I'm back and working my way to health again.

This long endurance race called grad school has entered its last leg. Six more weeks and I am done!!!!!!!! Its going to be tough but I can do it! My mantra is now "I have more behind me than in front of me." I have three years of work behind me and only six more weeks ahead of me. I can do it. I have to do it.
