My Testimonials

February 13, 2008
I have know ALisa Starweather for more than 15 years and i support her
100%. ALisa is one of the most dynamic facilitators i have ever worked
with (both as a participant and as a co-facilitator). She has the
knack to be able to take a room full of women who are from different
worlds socio-economically, spiritual practice and age groups (teens to
late 60's) and in 2 hours, she has instigated the women to share a
deep experience of trust, healing and empowerment.

I have always seen her provide women with opportunities that lay the
foundation for friendships, and courage, to last a life time. From
instigating elders to mentor girls, to supporting women finding
sisters to pray, play and heal with, to organizing gatherings and
facilitating year long trainings, ALisa consistently empowers women to
be all they choose to be and to find support in the circles around and
within themselves.

ALisa Starkweather is a fiercely gentle spirit who truly makes the
world a better place. She is a born leader and healer and who has a
sense of humbleness and gratitude for her gifts that is truly
inspirational.

so grateful to walk this path with you!

Experiencing ALisa is like a journey down the river of which you have only previously walked the banks. You experience the river in a refreshing, new, and energizing way. You may be aloft the river on a float, you might be swimming in the current, or you may be underneath the surface examining a whole new world. ALisa is a dynamic and truly gifted facilitator with a unique style that allows people to move to those places they may have never even known existed. Her work encourages people to jump into the river with her, for they recognize that otherwise it will be moving downstream - without them.

I am honored to have ALisa in my life as a teacher and sister. No matter where she is - she's in!

Yes, we are all gods and goddesses, underneith the layers of obscuration!

Yet know this well- with Alisa, the veil is so thin, the nectar so sweet, the goddess shines forth so brightly, so fierce in the purity and depth of love and beauty and care, that she can by mere presence alone bless all who come within the orbit of her vast space of wakefulness.

If you have eyes to see, and heart to feel- may you come into the presence of this woman, and heal! May you know you are already whole, and need only remember!

Then much sweet sky dancing can follow, o'er meadow flowers and nest building birds in springtime.

...maybe the college wasn't quite ready for your purity, but you're like a breath of fresh air to me!

ALisa channels spirit. Direct channel of light and love, she holds sacred space for others as no one else I know. I have seen her in joy and in pain and she carries herself with such grace and openess to all the lessons that life has to offer she is a great power of example to me. ALisa knows how to show up and show up big and has encouraged me to do the same. Thank you dear sister for all the amazing work in the world and for the ways in which you have shone your light on me and mine.

about me
I would rather leave this to others to describe me but suffice to say that I live every day of my life wanting to make a difference with my work with women, global transformation, healing and empowerment and with wild embodied passion for living out the dream here.
I am the founder of Priestess Path Apprenticeship, a women's mystery school, the Women's Belly and Womb Conferences, Daughters of the Earth Gatherings, and the Red Tent Temple Movement. Other work includes Mothering Our Adolescent Daughters, Living Our Deepest Dreams, Risking Getting What You Came Here For, and co-founder of Women in Power;Initiating Ourselves to the Predator Within. I am a teacher at many conferences and festivals worldwide and hope some day to be a writer. I have three recordings of my original chants, Daughter of the Earth, Calling Us Home and my new one, Women Rise Up. And I am a certified Shadow Work facilitator (shadowwork.com). I've been involved with communities for over twenty years. Many blessings.

My Blog

My heart is rejoicing.

Yesterday at the polls I witnessed heroines and heroes. An Irish woman with two broken feet in her fifties taking one painful step after another to vote in NH for Obama. A sister wheeling in her sister to vote. An elderly man calling his friend to talk to him about whether he has come to vote yet and how full of wonder he was at what was going on around him, the likes of which in all his politicing years he had never witnessed. Households of people calling, canvassi... read more

Dear friends,
Today is a serious day. All signs point towards an Obama/Biden win and all signs also point to trouble in our country. If you have not seen this documentary yet check out www.stealingamericathemovie.org

You might have heard what is going on across the country with early voting. Already before today there have been 80,000 calls on voting problems.

Today I recieved this email for New England. This might be the case too in your areas. Check this out. It is critical for us... read more

So I considered what might happen if Tribe went down for good and realized that like Hurricane Katrina separated families that I might be separated from you. So here is my email address and website for people who want to put it somewhere for safekeeping.

Finally, after much work I was able to go kayaking yesterday in beautiful Tully Lake and I swam far into the water with my good friend of 18 years. I told her what was going on with Daughters of the Earth Gatheirng and how much energy I had been putting in to bring diverse women together for the council, ceremony, and depth that takes place. She knows what is happening here and she reflected back to me that she had never seen something quite like this and that even though she is my good frien... read more

I admit it. I've been overworking again. My beloved says that I am obsessed lately. I think it is true. But what keeps me up late and starts my day early lately has been the launching of yet another Daughters of the Earth Gathering. The first step of this is to gather which women will come and share their gifts at Earthlands in Massachusetts.

We not only are bringing back the core leaders who have been here with us the last three years but we also have attracted some beautiful and powerfu... read more
