There are two kinds of light--the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures.

So, this past week I learned that if you whap yourself in the face with your fire poi (#1) It doesn't hurt (#2) It is possible to singe both your eyelaashes and an eyebrow without knowing it and (#3) when you burn said eyelashes, the singed curly ...

I was sad to learn this morning that one of my favorite groups, Sleater-Kinney, is calling it a day. I discovered their music late into their existence, but have really enjoyed it the past few years. I have had the pleasure of seeing them live a...

I was sad to learn this morning that one of my favorite groups, Sleater-Kinney, is calling it a day. I discovered their music late into their existence, but have really enjoyed it the past few years. I have had the pleasure of seeing them live a number of times, and they always put on a completely kick-ass show. Those three women rock and they rock hard.
Their final tour is this summer and DC is one of the few cities they are hitting. 9:30 Club, Aug 1. I know I'll be there.
