Since the state of tribe regarding Goth Metal is not up to standards, I've opened a new tribe called goth metal to discuss bands, review CDs, DVDs and live concerts, and to convince each other the band of YOUR liking is the best!!!

I was late last night preparing a(nother!) talk, powerpoint, microscopy movies, the works. When I wanted to remember, it was 1.30 AM, and I was wide awake. So I started playing X-men II... next stop, 3 AM. I hate the PSP, it's the worst (shut up, BEST!) thing I've ever bought. I can't stay awake today. Rooooooonk!

Spring is here, and it brings a new crop of concerts. We've already got tickets to watch Epica and Symphony X in Springfield, VA. And just got tickets for... Maiden!!!!!!!!! Yay! I've never seen them live, and I'm dying for it. That will be June 18th, in Columbia MD. Buddy Guy in Richmond and Kamelot in Springfield again are next. And many blues festivals dispersed along the season. That's it for now, and I can't wait. Until then... .UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we just had our paper sent again to Nature Cell Biology. The first round of reviews was a bitch, but we've managed to do all the experiments the reviewers requested. So, it's out of our hands now. For our grad student it's not such a big deal (he can graduate with a paper published in almost any peer-reviewed journal), and neither is for the boss (he's 64, and his resume is more than done by now), but for me, it can be the difference between landing a good job or just keep pounding the bench....
