it might not be a big deal for others. but , i traded trucks today. after 5 years of loving the truck. i fall victum to the almighty dollar. 4.15 diesel vs 3.15 gas. it sucks to sacrifice my ideals of biodiesel , but a newer diesel was just out of my price range.
i came across a truck three years newer, less than 40% of the mileage.

so i get to spend one day. taking 5 years of accumulated stuff out of the truck. plus all the solar panels, batteries etc.

today at noon i went to 'earth day' at pima community college. not a lot to learn . but good to see the kids asking questions.



the had a hamburg and hot dog lunch. in a courtyard just off the event. it was truely disgusting to see people walk right by the recycle bin to through away their plates........ and aluminum cans/water bottles.



went to hooters for a beer.. always enjoyable.

i feel a bit foolish today. i did a dumb thing for the second time.
two years ago i 'burned' my outdoor rug. i just did it again on my new rug. drats.

i put a bottle of water down. the sun refracting through the water acts as a fresnel lens. result a carpet that melted due to water focusing the sun.

where is that 2x4 when i need it.
