From Bishop Timothy Price:

Thank You For Being A Friend
( Andrew Gold )

Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down a road and back again
Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

If it's a car you lack
I'd surely buy you a Cadillac
Whatever you need any time of the day or night

I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow

And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear even though it's hard to hear
I will stand real close and say
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend

And when we die
And float away
Into the night
The milky way
You'll hear me call
As we ascend
I'll say your name
Then once again

Thank you for being a friend

Blog Log

I ask today .. Does frustration befit one who seeks to become an Adept ?

Thoughts.... In order to transcend our very humanity, we must acknowledge all human parts of us and experience all those emotions deemed unpleasant and painful. That is part of self-mastery and a stone on the Path of the Wise. We may trip over it, we may stub our toes on it, but sooner or later, we must acknowledge that it is there, pick it up and toss it aside of the road....

We will not be trampled down as a defeated Earthly nation,
We will not be swayed to dwell beneath in the mire of the Lotus,
We flow fluidly amidst the torrents of the Rivers of Creation.
Behold the mighty sword of Mars !
Behold the glory of the awakening Stars !
Here we stand upon the Foundation ,
Here is where with our Egos, we spar
Here are the two gates.
One above us,
One below us,
One path between them to pass.
Our feet rest beyond the portal of Fire , Eden in it’s Fall,
Our hands reach higher, to Infinity,
We are the bridge between them, solid and tall,
We are sacred defenders of Serenity,
We are indeed part of All,
For Humanity is that which fills the void
For Truth is that which emanates from Divinity,
Spiritus Mundi.

A millenium of stars cast thier impervious Light upon you,
A shower of blessed rays infiltrate your sphere to guide
You,
In Maternal depths of waves of the Waters of Creation
Primordial firmament seals your soul's elation.

The Sky enfolds you,
Her arms bedecked with ocillating moonbeams,
In pure Strength
The Sun awakens you from slumber with brillant eyes of
Cosmic Fire.

The Elements await your Words
To assist in fulfillment of your True Will
An ascent to the Higher,
To materialize your inner most desire.

The angels of the Seraphim
Extend to you the keys
To the gate of Enternity,
Echoing welcome hymns
The apparition of unending Serenity.

Digitaries of a forgotten,
Planetary race,
Suspended in the planes of Sacred Space,
Open wide the portals of the Gates
Wisdom, they deem
You do possess,
Surmounting the challenges of restrictions harness,
Humblty gained, nobly begotten.

The Gods gather in Holy Silence,
Observing and aiding what comes into Being,
You are thier voice amognst the dezinens of Earth,
Only from your Soul,
Theurgy great and vast ,
These of Higher Realms
Born of the Source Divine,
Shall guide you beyond peril to the very last,
One with the Master in Time.

The Lord of the Universe,
Beloved Lady of Creation,
Mother of Earth,
Do await you Below and Above,
Through limitless time and rebirth,
You shall be fused whole once again
Of thier Union
One with your Divinity
One with the Great Mother and Father,
Returning from whence all Creation
Emanates in the purest form of Love..

"Seek thou the spiritual and quit the material"- but don't forget to breathe.

"To seek, to know, to dare and to be silent"

"Know Thyself"- Seek also to know others.

Denial is not on my A-list.

Our bodies are mirrors of the Divine.

We can become bodhisattvas of the Earth.

Whoa ! I am now finally beginning to feel like my normal self again after being acutely ill for almost a week from taking a freaky antibiotic for only 2 days, that my MD ( now former one after this incident) had prescibed after mis-diagnosing me with a kidney infection !) My global contribution after this experience- DO NOT TAKE LEVAQUIN- It almost killed me. - now I have had 2 near physical death experiences.

If it were not for my higher guide telling me to stop taking it and not mix with my other meds, and a wonderful pharmacist ( bless him) ! I may not have been around to post this. I was not ready to leave my Saturnine body behind yet. I have much in the Great Work to accomplish in this body, in this lifetime as well as being the best Mom possible to my little girl, and future wife of my love on earth.

Snowflakes rally and bustle,
Given sky-plane berth,
As a million wayward sprites,
Upon the carpet of the Earth,
They do finally alight...

Who says Magicians do not have some aspect of normalcy in thier lives? About as normal as you can get for someone arcane is having to deal with your kid's homework.

My daughter was sent home with homework over the weekend she needs help with- actually, she always needs help with it. All that air and water in her Natal chart and being a numerological number 7 gives her quite the creative, ethereal but ungrounded persona.. I guess that's why I was chosen on some level to be her Mom with 5 planets in Earth. It gets frustrating though, since I am torn between helping her with her fleuncy homework and doing my next zodiac invocation this afternoon. I really need to do both and usually I am good with time management but I am a bit scattered today.

Because of all the responsibilty I have in my career as well as homelife, I really love my responsibiltiy as a magician in a magical order, as it is so integrated in the rest of my life, but I also like to take time out to be more in touch with the astral on a " free feeling basis". Lately there has not been much opportunity to do full ceremonial invocations other than the daily ritual versions, and I am resisting the whole homework thing- which I shouldn't.

I guess I need to be more disciplined today, but it just is not easy, since my inclination is to spend the day being individually creative and doing my part in the Great Work, not to mention is is arctic cold outside and wanting to be like a fluffy cat nestled in a comforter is also part of my repetoire today of trying to be lazy .

I firmly believe that these types of conflicts are common with those on this Path, since it demands complete committment, as does other aspects of our lives. The Path of a ceremonial magican is not for dabblers to be sure and I happen to have the greatest respect for those magicians/ witches that are not the " arm chair " variety. There are some that think that all we magians do is read books as perpetual students and practice magic day and night , but the reality is, we are not in the Victorian era and there is not another magician I know of that does not have a career and family to take care of - the only exception may be a young adult in college or something that is privledged enough to not have to work, of which I know none of personally. ...Anyway.. back to my kid's homework , I can still do the invocation before dinnertime !

I did not cave in to my laziness or business tonight. No pizza ordering. I've been doing that too much lately, with the exception of my always excellent poached salmon I made on Sunday. I chose the next best thing to pizza tonight.. Nachos !

...Tune in next week for the Supreme Banishing Ritual of the Nacho Supreme.

( I just love CVS convenience stores for junk food on busy, freezing Michigan evenings! )
