I suppose the list of entries should be something like this -I got baptized on Easter -new girlfriend -I'm now a PhD candidate -confirmed in the Episcopal church -summer travelling -potato throwing championship -My throat singing debut -stories from the land of downstate Illinois. These will all be written soon.
I haven't been posting much in a while. The reason for this is that I have my candidacy exam coming up in less than three weeks. I'm trying to put about 6 hours a day into studying, however I just find that hard to do. I guess I've been doing 3-4 a day and so that's ok. Anyway after I pass this silly exam I'll probably post about 30 entries to this guy and overwhelm anyone who tries to keep up with it.

Also I got one by Huun Huur-Tu. I was always curios about the high pitched overtone singing. My specialty has been the undertone. Bu I looked up a bunch of how to pages, and they aren't necessarily easy to understand, but with enough of them lined up and the will to practice it came. So as it is I can no...

Kal's birthday was thursday night. And of course, we went to the Shef! Well, what happens when you get a bunch of mathematicians who sing together for some beer. Correct! They start singing! One of our favorite if you will is to break into the music for mario 2. Kal and his friend once made a great, great a cappella version of this. So anyway, we started singing this and in the midst of it I started singing Northwestern's fight song. Miraculously they fit together. Now, that I haven'...
