hanging in London

I am sitting in an internet café in London, Edgware Road. This is the neighborhood I am staying around for the next few days. I am getting to know the area a bit better. A lot of people here are Muslim. I have met wonderful people who seem friendly and open hearted. Many tell me they love the American people but dislike the government. The language mostly spoken is Arabic, although, many people are happy to practice their English with me and many are fluent in several languages, as they have lived aboard many years. I now know a few words and phases in Arabic but my accent is so bad most people don’t understand me when I utter them, at least I’m trying. Thinking of heading to the Brixston market to see what sales are going on. Just thought I would stop by and say hello! Hope you are having a wonderful day

Just felt like jumping in and yelling HELLO TRIBE! Still wondering around Europe. Hit up Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, I really do love traveling. Although I think I am ready to come home and stay put for a bit. Ok… maybe in a few months.

I will be teaching a beginners drum class and helping to facilitate an open drum circle at the Tribe of Doris which happens here in England at the end of August. Here is the link

Have friends visiting, which is nice. It is amazing how much I can appreciate other Americans now. Even though the Brits speak almost the same langue it is not the same.

What Up?

Greetings my fellow tribe mates n virtual family! I finally have internet connection at home and am jonezing for some cyber love! HUGZZZZZZZZ

I find myself still over the ocean in the UK. It is pretty kewl. Been traveling around as much as I can, Europe has such pretty places to see and the history, my my.

One of the weirdest things I am finding is being an immigrant. I took for granted how much space we have in the US and how much freedom of travel we have. I also experienced, for the 1st time in my life, being in a place where English was not the primary language, now that was an eye opening experience. Walking with hope...

I cannot believe how fast the time is going. Dark Skies is quickly approaching darkskies.vegasartists.com/ Once Dark Skies is over I leave for NY. I am so excited to see my family and friends back east. It is a bit weird, once I leave Las Vegas I will not be coming back for sometime. The reality of moving to another country keeps creeping up on me. I am so excited but would be lying if I did not say I was a bit scared also. What a change. The theme of Burning Man this year really hit home for me. Hope and Fear and the Future. I keep reminding myself to walk with caution but not not walk because or fear. I find myself walking with hope...
