I've found this post incredibly hard to start, since there seems to be no words in the english language advanced enough to truly describe the BM experience. But I'm going to give it a shot anyway.

Paynie, Noodle, Natalie and I all left Burbank Friday night in Paynie's RV. 3 flat tires and nearly 24 hours later we arrived to the gates of the Black Rock City. An enormous excitement stirred among those waiting in line. Within 10 minutes I had been "welcomed home" numerous times, was gifted an ice cold beer, and was chatting among new friends.

There was all sorts of drama that night due to an "early arrival list" which we supposedly weren't on. So we ventured off to a nearby quarry and created our own little party "Waiting Man". Sunday morning all sorts of people piled into the quarry. About an hour later a ranger arrived and let us know that we would all be let in! So once again we drove through the gates to Black Rock City. When we arrived to the front of the line I had to jump out of the RV and ring the virgin bell!

Shortly thereafter I was dropped off at the RLD and even though they weren't expecting me, I was welcomed!

Somehow when you drive through those gates your guard is let down, judgements erased and for one week a year all limits and expectations of so called normalcy are put aside. I have never felt so loved, embraced or accepted in all the years of my life. Burning Man becomes an alternate reality, where the typical American handshake is replaced with a warm hug or a kiss on the lips.

Monday night in Groovyland was the perfect start to an indescribably amazing week. As son as I met the SD Burners, it was this amazing connection that just ended sucking me into a beautiful multicolored cuddle puddle bliss for the entire night.

Sometimes just venturing off on your own, wandering in and out of theme camps is the best thing ever. You're greeted with so much love and enthusiasm from complete strangers who after 5 minutes become your friends. It's a funny thing how at BM there really are no strangers. If there's ever anything you need, someone will surely offer it to you...and viceaversa. Burning Man truly brings light to the saying..."ask and you shall recieve."

My days were filled with blended iced smoothies, amazing music and over 1000 beautiful people whenever I got the chance to make my way over to the Deep End.

The night of the Burn was so incredibly magical. In one word; Rebirth. The liquid sea of fire dancers in front of the man, the ritualistic significance of the burn itself, the bittersweet feelings that manifest...you're thinking to yourself...this is it! The eargerly awaited climax after an entire week of fourplay.

Then Sunday was a more introspective day. Reflecting upon all the lessons the week has instilled upon you and your new view of life and it's beauty. The effect that all of this will have on your conciousness upon reentering the "real world". Making the journey out to the temple for me was one of the most beautiful grounding moments. Thinking and reflecting upon the past...looking into the future. Burning your fears, and manifesting your hopes for the future.

To sort of sum it up...here's a list of my favorite BM experiences. The feeling of the playa on my bare feet, staring at the trippiness of the playa itself, the warm embraces, beautiful faces, the costumes, riding on art cars, seeing Alex Grey's art as if for the first time (on LSD), snuggling, hooping, dancing until no longer being able to dance, and then dancing some more, the starlit playa sky melting down at me, finding myself, the water, being sprayed with water while dancing under the midday sun, the music OH MY GOD the music, marveling at the endless beauty, and most of all finding my family...at the Red Light District! Thanks so much to all of you amazing beings who made this THE most life changing wonderful week ever!
