It's 0347 and I'm solo at work right now. I've been feeling like total shit all day (fever, sore throat, back pain...cursing the Responsibility Gene that brought me in to work in the first place) and am counting down the final hour-and-a-half of my 10-hour shift.

911 rings, I answer. It's coming from my lobby phone* . A very soft spoken male tells me that he's been pickpocketed while downtown and needs to speak to an officer.
