I spent two months making this CD. That’s visualizing, gathering, listening, mixing, changing and trying the final mix 9 times till I liked every last second of the CD. Sitting in my house listening to it after completion, feeling an afterglow of giving birth, I wondered why I do it. Realizing at that moment that this is a labor of love that no paycheck could afford. I do this because I love it. I do this because I love giving it back. In the 10 years I’ve been doing this, I’ve never asked for a dime for my efforts. It’s been given for sure, but I do it cause It’s my meditation, my poi, my love, my art and it fills me up inside. All I ever really want back is to play on a system that sounds good, in front of people I love and express my sound in a way that moves people. I’ll be able to do that Friday night at Fuente (1am Sat.), please enjoy this labor of love on your drive South.
