My principal is an idiot with rose-colored glasses and a meglo-maniac complex. She steadfastly maintains that Hoover Middle School is fine, and the teachers are doing a wonderful job, and that yes, indeed, our AYP (adequate yearly progress) and our AIP (academic Index performance) will go sky high this year. With the students I have in the 6th grade this year, I would be surprised if we evened out - same rank as last year. These kids are so LOW!!!. And, being the head union rep at my school, I feel like the only one who is concerned.
