This is my teepee trellis. I still need to bury the ends and try to make the top a little more secure somehow. Any suggestions?
I harvested this bamboo with my friend, Dan, last spring. We found a vacant lot on the outskirts of town (Columbia, SC) where this big type of bamboo has taken over. It covers at least five acres, and it is DENSE. nothing else grows there. There don't seem to be any bugs or birds, either. Kind of creepy but cool at the same time.
