I had a plan last year. It didn't quite turn out like I expected, but it's been largely a good year. Maybe it was borne out of sort of midlife crisis, but, hey, I didn't run out and buy a Porsche and get a 21 yr old boyfriend - lol... who needs that? So, while plans are not always going to turn out like we expected, I'm lucky enough to have friends and family see me through my year of self-employment/freelancing and whatnot. I'm incredibly grateful, really.

This economy sucks, so I'll put it out here that I am looking for a job. Am I picky? Not so much at this point. I think I am a great assistant and my resume has a lot of assistant to exec assistant experience in marketing, pr, advertising primarily. I have skills MS Office, mega PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator. Trying to add some Flash in there, too. I have good graphic design skills. So, if you know anyone needing this type of person in NYC, I'd love to know. If it was in a creative type of environment that'd be sweet! (Finance, legal stuff is not really my thing..)

Anyway, most of you know, I don't usually appeal to people this way, but I thought, you know - why not? It couldn't hurt, right?
And, no worries, mentally I'm keeping it together (trying very hard anyway) to keep the positive energy flowing. Where better than here to put out something for some positive energy... that's what I was thinkin', as I'm home contemplating life, the universe and everything...
