My Blog

Hello all and hope you are having a terrific day.

Today, when I was in the middle of taking my pilates class at From the Core in Benicia, I realized I had been taking pilates for a year now, but more importantly, this is also my 12 year anniversary month in belly dancing. I started taking belly dance lessons with Loa Kirkbride through the Benicia Parks & Rec. in Jan. 1996. WOW, I am 12 years old in the belly dance world. THAT IS SO COOL!!!! For all of you who know me or who dance, you kno... read more

This blog is all about having fun with friends and family; both dance and blood. Last month was full of performances at India 4 U Restaurant, El Morocco Restaurant, Rakassah, a photo shoot with Michael Baxter, and a fun trip to the BD Superstars in San Rafael. Performing wih my SISters (Sirens In Sanity Sisters) was awesome at Rakassah. We have such a great group of ladies who are dear friends on the stage, in the studio and in our personal lives. We are quite blessed for that. My family has ... read more

My Testimonials

I just adore Yasmine!

Her love of life, family and dance shows through in whatever she does. Yasmine is so encouraging to her students and other dancers. She is a wonderful support system because she give so freely from her heart. Both she and Saiedeh have always believed in me and my creativity, and for that I am truely thankful! (Plus I am still in shock that she still takes me on road trips even when I do get her lost in the most RANDOM places!!)
Complete passion oozes from her when she dances that you cannot look away..she has you trapped! Whatever she is doing..you'll be ensnared.

As a dancer, she mezmerizes.
As a person, she shines.
As a friend, she's priceless.

Must see BD! :-)
I LOVE THIS WOMAN!

I am one of the lucky people who know many facets of Yasmine. As a business partner, she blows me away with her overall knowedge and abilities, as a dance student she has always been a sponge and internalizes everything she learns... as a performer she (ok I am going to say it) "spits" it out to the audience's waiting arms, they are putty in her hands! Her charm and grace are warming and reassuring, you can let yourself relax and just enjoy what she has to offer. If you have ever seen her dance with a veil or a sword, you know what I mean. You seem to forget she has a prop, it looks like she is in complete control...which is how she does everything! Serious and resolute, you would not want to stand in her way! Believe me! :o)
As a wife and mother, well, she raises the bar to all of us wives and mothers...she gives freely and totally from the heart...my family knows her as Aunti Tammi...she is a major force in my life.

I got to dance with Yasmine/Tammi once a month for 2 years at El Mo and she is really fun to work with - besides being a total fireball and a very expressive dancer. She was super supportive and encouraging to "newbie-me" and offered all kinds of helpful advice. Her Dancers nights and the classy Benicia Competition provide lots of great opportunities for Bay Area Northern CA Dancers!
And her menfolk are SO CUTE ;-)

Yasmine is just the most wonderful person to collaborate with. When I do belly dance photography, I generally need detailed information about the venue, in order to be well prepared. At the recent Sirens In Sanity Harlequin Masque, Yasmine facilitated every one of my queries speedily. And! She is a delightful professional belly dancer who likes to have a lot of fun. This fun collaborative spirit is infectious: you too will hear the Siren's call. Yasmine and Saiedeh together wring such joy for The Dance with their troupe Sirens In Sanity.

Suhweet! I'm the first one on this! Im surprised really because Tammi aka Yasmine from Sirens Insanity is like the glue for this community sometimes. One of those few ladies who talks to everyone, knows everyone and supports dare I say everyone! She's like the sweetness of a Snickers bar wrapped in a politically correct Fortune Cookie.
