Howdy! I'd like to introduce myself as an american fusion belly dancer. I have no formal dance background except 3 years w Yasmella from 1999 and then numerous workshops since then from Canada down to Portland. I trained extensively in martial arts from an early age and in my adult years primarily in Aikido. I'm also a regular practitioner of ashtanga yoga. You will see that influence in my dancing more than Saidi, but I'm working on it. I'm also taking lessons in Argentine Tango and loving the close embrace during weekend milonga's. Try a little of this kind of dancing for a smooth endorphin high. At other times, I get my adrenal rushes from trail running. I've completed the cutthroat challenge, grouse grind and dashed about the chuckanut's and the sierra's at various times. Finally, I held my first Physical Therapy Dance Clinic at Emerald Sanctuary Belly Dance Retreat 2008. I recently received advanced certification in manual therapy techniques from NAIOMT. I hope to do more dance clinic's at other sites, hafla's, studio's. The runners clinics that we do at Fairhaven Runner's is also successful. I really enjoy my work and look forward to dancing with you girls, learning how to dance to live drumming and holding more PT Dance Clinic's. Om Ganesha Namaha.
