about me
I sell comic books and art. I am an artist philosopher. I am politically active (mostly on the web). Collect comic book dvd's. Love film. Can write, draw and paint. Haven't "partied" since 1978 when I owned a new age bookstore for a year by the Beach in California (Southern); Love Big Sur took all my vacations there from 1982-1996. Love true Spirituality lived. I've had a taste of the potential. Meditation and Yoga are ways that can accelerate your movement from the wheel of birth and death from 1000's of additional lifetimes to fewer rebirths. Remember you are LOVE itself. I Love the writings of Jiddu Krishnamurte. Rereading Gary Zukav's SEAT OF THE SOUL.

Reading a book by Don Miguel Ruiz that hit home again today (I traded an "est Werner Erhard tape for it.)
"In your whole life no one has ever abused you more than you have abused yourself. And the limit of your self-abuse is exactly the limit that you will tolerate from someone else."
...
"The more self love we have, the less we will experience
self-abuse. Self-abuse comes from self-rejection and self rejection comes from having an image about what it means to be perfect and never measuring up to that ideal."
Our image of perfection is the reason we reject ourselves; it is why we don't accept ourselves the way we are. And why we don't accept others the way they are."

DESIDERATA
Go Placidly Amid The Noise & Haste & Remember What Peace There May Be
In Silence.
As Far As Possible Without surrender be on good terms with all
persons.
Speak your truth quietly & clearly; and listen to others, even the
dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
* Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the
Spirit. If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain &
bitter; for always there will be greater & lesser persons than
yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
* Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real
possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in
your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let
this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for
high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
* Be yourself, Especially do not feign affection. Neither be
cynical about Love; for it is perennial as the grass.
* Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the
things of youth. Nurture strength of Spirit to shield you in sudden
misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many
fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome
discipline, be gentle with yourself.
* You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees & the
Stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear
to you, no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should.
* Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors & aspirations, in the noisy confusion of
life keep peace with your soul.
* With all its sham, and drudgery & broken dreams, it is still a
beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.**

Lao Tsu says in the Tao Te Ching:
"Empty yourself of everything.
Let the mind rest at peace.
The ten thousand things rise and fall while the Self watches their
return.
They grow and flourish and then return to source.
Returning to the source is stillness, which is the way of nature.
The way of nature is unchanging
Knowing constancy is insight.
Not knowing constancy leads to disaster.
Knowing constancy, the mind is open.
With an open mind, you will be openhearted.
Being openhearted, you will act royally.
Being royal, you will attain the divine.
Being divine, you will be one with the Tao.
Being at one with the Tao is eternal.
And though the body dies, the Tao will never pass away.
