She has been evicted from her apartment....the new owner claims that he will be moving in ( very doubtful, but moot ) It looks like mom and niece will be housed shortly...BC Housing prioritized them, thankfully, else they would have been camping out in my living room. That leaves the problem of her two cats. She can't take them with her...and I can't take them for her. Tippy. She was my beloved cat. She is a beautiful... read more

I've just officially withdrawn my kids from after school care for the fall. I must be nuts! My mom has expressed a strong desire to do it herself...and the kids are beaming at the prospect of being with her...all happy and nice...so rosy and perfect. SO many pros and cons to this arrangement. Pros/cons : I didn't need full-time care, and have a very hard time justifying paying for something I didn't & don't need, but had to sign them up for it anyways.... read more
