Temp inside at noon: 206 -- after I added a few more reflective panels, it pegged out my cheese thermometer which goes to 225. It needs a few refinements, which I research... read more

Deeper is better. Six inches of soil may be plenty in humid Midwest or Eastern states but in my garden the beds that only have six inches are the beds with the smallest plants. Thankfully, I can compost and add more soil in the fall to make them deeper; I got wood that was 8 and 10 inches thinking I might need more soil.
