Goddess Lakshmi

This goddess of good fortune, beauty, and abundance stands on a pink lotus, floating on the ocean of milk from which she was born. Gold coins fall from one hand. She embodies compassion, patience, peace, harmony and is Vishnu's feminine counterpart.

Indian aphrodite
Thanks a lot for being my first friend on the tribe net. I am in the process of finding my way though the tribal maze. I shall soon be posting my details so that our exchanges can be more fruitful.
I am from India and would like to comment on your remarks about ma lakshmi- like the grecian Aphrodite she arose from the depths of the ocean . Subsequently she was transformed inta the goddess of wealth and prosperity. In our mythology she is highly capricious and it is said where she dwells the goddess of learning Ma Saraswati does not enter and vice versa.
