To start off on a positive note, we had the best ritual and after ritual celebration. Most of us crashed about 6AM and I am not sure where everyone is. We laughed and sang and danced our way into the New Year and I felt fantastic. Now for the negative. For ever action there is a consequence. I have the HANGOVER FROM HELL. :)

Tonight I begin my new shift at work and instead of getting up at 5am, I will now be starting work at 5:30pm. I have tried in vain to change my sleep schedule and am searching for some ideas on how to do this. Anyone out there have any good ideas?

For some reason I can only update my journal through Explorer and get shut down when using Mozilla. Any suggestions or solutions would be much appreciated.
Oh wow! I am so sick. My grandchildren gave me strep as a gift. Isn't that sweet?

I had a fantastic time in San Francisco. I did not get haunted at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. I stayed on the 7th floor and apparently the ghost is on floor number 12. :( The train trip was slow but very relaxing. The sleeper was very small and if I do this again I will get much larger accommodations. The food, however was wonderful, and the scenery was sublime. My small time in Muir Woods was so peaceful, and the redwoods were as grand as I had remembered. We actually drove all over ending up in Sacramento and from there flying home. I very much needed this departure from routine and plan to take these small jaunts more often.
