Turkey Day
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I am grateful each day that I have what I have and who I have in my life. That includes all of you.Samhain/Halloween
To start off on a positive note, we had the best ritual and after ritual celebration. Most of us crashed about 6AM and I am not sure where everyone is. We laughed and sang and danced our way into the New Year and I felt fantastic. Now for the negative. For ever action there is a consequence. I have the HANGOVER FROM HELL. :)LOVE SURVEY

Memorial Day
We had this big discussion tonight as we feasted on bar-b-qued ribs, home made potato salad, water melon, baked beans, corn on the cob and gallons of wine. The discussion was all about why we have these feasts of food on Memorial Day. We were talking about remembering the people who have given so much for our freedom and how it should be a more somber day. We put out our flag, as usual, but it didn't seem like enough. I noticed that throughout our neighborhood everyone seemed to be celebrating with family and friends. We finally decided that it is a way of celebrating the freedoms we do have. A way to appreciate that we are alive and happy and able to share time and fun because of those who gave their lives in service for our country. We celebrated into the wee hours and I was just wondering if any of you have felt the same? I guess we were thinking of the families that have lost a loved one and who will spend this day in mourning. Mixed feelings for me on this topic. (My spelling sucks)BELTANE
I wish you all a great, successful, and happy Beltane. Good hunting Brothers! :)The Wonderful Strep Throat
Well, aren't grandchildren wonderful? I watched them for a couple of days and as a gift, they gave me Strep Throat. I shall have to remember to thank them properly. That will now mean I once again cannot miss any work for a year. My employer loves to keep everyone on their toes when it comes to attendance. It just depends on who your boss is. I think acceptable is 3 occurances, and 5 days, but I don't want to test the waters. My spelling is very bad, especially when I am sick. Please forgive me.
I hope this little witch is brewing a cure for me!
Short Trip
I had a fantastic time in San Francisco. I did not get haunted at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. I stayed on the 7th floor and apparently the ghost is on floor number 12. :( The train trip was slow but very relaxing. The sleeper was very small and if I do this again I will get much larger accommodations. The food, however was wonderful, and the scenery was sublime. My small time in Muir Woods was so peaceful, and the redwoods were as grand as I had remembered. We actually drove all over ending up in Sacramento and from there flying home. I very much needed this departure from routine and plan to take these small jaunts more often.A GREAT YEAR
I haven't posted a blog here for a long time. I am feeling much better about myself and my life. My spirituality has grown and I do daily ritual work which helps me quite a bit. Meditation has become my friend. I enjoy time by myself, for me this is a new thing. I often take rides up into the hills just to sit and enjoy the world around me.I have traveled a little and next week I am taking a train to San Francisco, then flying back. I think the adventure of going for no reason sounds great. I do intend to spend some time up in the redwoods and enjoy their majesty. To all of you I have neglected, I hope you are having a wonderful new year.
Flu
Okay, so I had my flu shot, why do I have the flu? If it isn't the flu, then it is a mutant acting like the flu. It is getting close to the 5th of November and I want to do a V party. Anyone out there going to do something fun or important or make a great collective political statement?A Not So Good Day
Today my divorce was final and I am now Christy Cochrane again. I haven't had that name for a hundred years. My house is being foreclosed on and it seems I only need $750 for my medical testing. LOL I would accuse people of cursing me, but I don't think they have to.| 1–10 of 35 | ‹ | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | next |
