Little buddy needs help!
Wed, March 26, 2008 - 7:19 AMMy cat had kittens back in november and I fell in love with one of them, a little guy who I named Henry. I really didn't want to part with him once it was time for him to go, but couldn't keep him because we already have three cats in a tiny ass apartment. So I gave him to someone reletively close to me in hopes of being able to see him when I want and watch him grow up and know he's taken care of.
The problem is that I am afraid he may not be being taken care of. I made the stupid descision of giving him to someone who I know has a drinking problem and makes alot of rash descisions. She has also abandoned cats in the past that she didn't get along with....It's happened twice that I know of and I really thought she had changed for the better but I was wrong. I gave him to this person because, like I said, they are fairly close to me and I see them on a regular basis. It might have been a selfish descision but i thought it was the right descision at the time. I received a phone call last night from the person saying that I either had to pick him up or she was taking him to the SPCA. I really can't let that happen to the little guy and I am in no place to take on the responsibility (let alone the shit I will catch from my roommates) of another cat.
He's a really awesome little cat, born in mid-november. He's in really good health, no fleas or worms or anything, and he's had his first round of boosters. He has an appointment to be neutered on April 8th and I am more than willing to pay for the procedure for whoever adopts him. He's a tremendously sweet, intelligent little animal and I can't stand the possibility of him spending the rest of his miserable little life in a cage until he is killed because people only want to adopt 6 week old kittens.
The reason the person doesn't want him is because he "bit" them. Playfully. Keep in mind that he is a YOUNG cat. 3 months....maybe 4 or 5 years old in "people" years. He is rambunctious but like I said, he is YOUNG. He is simply energetic and playful, like most kittens his age should be. When he is not being curious and playful and energetic (again, something HEALTHY for a cat his age) he is a really sweet, intelligent, friendly little guy. He will undoubtedly calm down when he gets a little older, especially since he is being Neutered very soon. The other thing I would like to mention is that I have not spoken to this person yet today and they may have, by this point, decided to keep him. Like I said, this person has a habit of being a bit irrational. I don't really care, because this has alerted me to the fact that they are in no shape to be responsible for a cat. I'm taking him home with me today, regardless of if they want to keep him.
If anyone is interested, PLEASE let me know.
P.s.....Why am I always writing about cats in my blog? I'm not some crazy ass cat lady, I swear!

I'm allergic to cats. So no can do, but you could try various pet adoption centers. Otherwise, no one really comes to mind, but you should get the kitten and then try getting rid of him yourself, as opposed to what this other person might do. Best of Luck
