Uncommon Ground ( local favorites » restaurants ) "super yummy" lots of good food, large portions, decent wines by the glass. The Calamari (with some sort of Korean sauce) is addictive.

Melrose Diner (Lakeview) ( local favorites » restaurants ) "yummy food, good variety" I always love the Melrose. You can eat healthy (aforementioned salad) or have a huge monster omlette or sandwich. If I still lived in Lakeview, I'd be in there every week.
