about me
Married for over 30 years. We both enjoy travel, good food and wine. I enjoy going to a romantic place with a secluded beach for a vacation. My wife would rather take a cruise. So we compromise and take a cruise.

We did Celebrity's Infinity. Aruba is great to do on your own especially if you can share with orther people. We rented a van and went around the island which is not huge, visiting the lighthouse and the rocks or whatever they call it. In Carte...

Caribbean Cruises: What are your favorite ports of call and why?
(in Cruise Lovers)
For pure relaxation, Grand Turk is hard to beat. Great beach and pool right where the ship docks, plus shopping and a Margaritaville. You just walk right off the ship into paradise.

Just returned from a MSC cruise that stopped in Cayo Levando, a private island, off the Dominican Republic. Some of the finest sand I have seen anywhere. Picture posted.

Re: MSC Cruise? I'm not familiar with them. Any thoughts?

I will try and get caught up on my photos but it almost seems hopeless. I have not posted anything since last years med cruise but I will try. I caught a nasty sore throat and cold on the last trip after two years of wellness, guess I was over due. Otherwise I am doing fine. The photo was taken in Acapulco at a private home overlooking Acapulco Bay. As you can see the view was spectacular.

We are back from a wonderful trip to South America. Except for some rain the weather was mild (not as hot as we thought it would be). The week before we arrived it was in the 90s. We particularly enjoyed Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls. More to follow. The picture is a portion of Iguazu Falls on the Argentine side.

We are off to the Orlando airport in a couple of hours. We will stay overnight at the Marriott and fly out early the next morning, connecting through Miami to Sao Paolo, Brazil. I will try and keep you updated if I can but will give you the details when we return February 16th.

The picture is Baleen's Restaurant on Biscayne Bay where we had lunch last week.
Just returned from a 4 day stay in the Miami area to get our Brazilian Visas. The bad news was that they had gone up from $100 to $130, the good news is that they are good for 5 years instead of a few months. The traffic is horrendous and makes me appreciate Flagler County in north FL. Stayed at the Newport Beachside Resort just north of Haulover Beach in Sunny Isles. We celebrated my birthday by having lunch at Baleens on Grove Isle near Ccconut Grove. The setting is spectacular on Biscay...
