Five beautiful "Painted Lady' butterflies have emerged from their chrysalids this weekend.
I had bought the butterfly kit for my preschool class, so that they can learn the life cycle of butterflies.
The catapillars came in the mail, in a jar about 3 wks ago.
Two weeks ago we were on spring break and when we returned...we were excited to see the pupas.
The children have been very excited through each process.
They learned the words: metamorphasis, pupal, and chrysalids.
I feel like a butterfly momma! : )
