What's Going On...

Back from Tribes 2008

WOW! What a rush! Just got back from Tribes and I am happy to say that I survived Troupe Tarab's first performance at Tribes. We opened the Saturday night show and we're followed by our sisters from Sahara Silk. It was very comforting to know that we had friends and family in the audience. We had lots of fun! And I can now proudly say that I danced on stage with BDSS Zoe. OK.. So, I didn't exactly dance with her but she was dancing on stage with everyone during the improvisation at the end of the show, so I think that counts! Anyway, it's time to concentrate on my performance at Samira's show this coming July. I still have to figure out what song I will be using.... Any ideas???

This is so much f*ckin' fun!

Excuse my language but, I am having lots of fun! Between Tribes, performing at the Relays for Life, and taking classes with Julie and Amy; my social life has become exciting. I am looking forward to all things relating to bellydancing, especially this summer. I just have to make sure that my job does not interfere with my dancing.... Also, I am hoping that with all this dancing and rehearsing, I can continue losing weight. My self-esteem has definitely improved and I have so many people to thank for that. I am very self-conscious and I don't always like the way I look. But, the compliments that I have received on the photos that my son took of me, have really made me feel like I am beautiful! Thanks, ladies!

It's almost over!

The holiday season is almost over and now it's time to get back to work. I haven't gone to Amy's tribal class on Sundays because if it's not because I am at work, it's because I have so many freakin' things to do that I totally forget about it. But starting in January, I am going to make time for the classes and get my ass there. I am looking forward to the next time that the student troupe performs so that I can be in it.
