Hi!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be participating in the Orlando Christmas Parade with Clown Alley #288!
It will be my first public appearance since clown school graduation back in May and, needless to say, I'm a bit nervous yet quite excited!
I hope you'll be able to come on out, cheer me on, and enjoy the parade!

The Orlando Christmas Parade has changed its look this year to a spectacular night parade and festival. This year's theme is "Light Up The Holidays"!
Cirque USA performers will be featured with their spellbinding stunts, and they will also provide narration for the illuminated night parade.

When: Sunday, December 14, 2008
Time: 6pm to 8pm (Note: My clown alley has asked to be towards the beginning of the parade lineup!)
Where: Downtown Orlando: The parade will circle Lake Eola Park starting at the corner of Magnolia Ave and Livingston St. It will proceed down Rosalind Ave to Central Blvd then head east on Central to Summerlin Ave. Finally it will head north on Summerlin to Robinson St where it will end at Howard Middle School.

There is free curbside viewing available along most of the parade route. TV cameras will be taping for television on the red carpet area on Rosalind Ave. Reserved seating at the taping area is $10 or 6 people for $50.
There will also be a one-day festival during the day called Holiday in the Park. It will be at Lake Eola featuring vendors, retailers and entertainment. A special "Kidsville Area" will be there as well to include games, inflatables, Captain Candy Cane, Mr and Mrs Santa Claus and of course, Clown Alley #288! This event is from noon until 4pm.

National Dance Week® - April 25th to May 4th, 2008!

NDW's mission is to encourage the growth and development of dance in America by raising the public consciousness to the values, importance and contributions of dance to our daily lives and culture, and this year, it's 27th year, the event will take place from April 25th - May 4th.

Sherry McDonald from ZI - Tribal Muses Dance, and one of the Florida NDW Delegates, would like to invite all dancers, groups and troupes to come out and dance on Saturday, April 26th to help celebrate this event!
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL TYPES AND STYLES OF DANCING, AND ALL DANCE GROUPS AND TROUPES!! PLEASE PASS THE INVITATION TO ANYONE THAT MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN JOINING US!!!!

We had a great turnout at Lake Minneola in Clermont last year, and are looking forward to an even better turnout this year!

The exact location is yet to be determined, but we are hoping to use the outdoor gazebo in the Winter Garden town centre near The Center for Dance and the Performing Arts. More details forthcoming soon or contact Sherry McDonald at the address below.

And this year, the new facet of NDW, the "Look Who's Dancing Now©" project, which was launched throughout the United States for the 2007 celebration of National Dance Week® is taking place again. All interested parties are encouraged to reach out to community leaders, business people, media and the "Man-or-Woman-In-The-Street". The hope is that all dance professionals and students would invite these public figures to "Strike a Pose" and have their photo taken while dancing!
We ask you all to invite others to join you in dancing for the sheer joy of it! Have your camera ready! Of course, you must have written permission from everyone in the photo, as well as the photographer, in order to submit your photo to the NDW website.
