about me
I work as a graphic artist at an ad agency in downtown San Diego. I'm currently married to my wonderful husband Sam (Sam I Am to those of you who've met him). I also play guitar, piano and I sing. I have a cat named Darla.
I'm a definite late bloomer to Burning Man style activities, and hopefully, if we can swing it, would like to go to Burning Man this year. It's been great meeting the people who I've had the opportunity to meet and get to know at the two events we've been to so far, last year's Xara and this year's Fuente.
I'm somewhat of a computer nerd, kind of bookish and usually on the quiet side, until I get to know people and feel more comfortable.
Some musings

After watching the third episode of a series I wish I had watched from the beginning, "A Brief History of Disbelief", inevitable questions arose for me. This was a tremendously thought provoking program, I wish I had caught the first two episodes....

Here's a special story I have, maybe it's only special to me, but I want to give props to someone at our camp who really helped me with something I have trouble with, namely, hiking, and crawling around on boulders, and just um, getting to the mai...

I am not an atheist. At the same time, I don't believe in God (capitalized sheerly out of respect).
What I do believe in, however, is greatness, impact, and that we, as an evolved species, care for each other, for the...

You see, I come from New York originally. Most of the people I hung out with there weren't hikers, by any means. I've lived my life as a non-camper. Really, the first time I ever went camping was with Sam. And I love it.
But I have n...

We haven't (yet) been to Burning Man. I'm hoping we can go this year. But here's the thing: you guys are all the most amazing group of people I've been around, pretty much ever. From your open natures through to your welcoming arms. You all are a delight.
I have a low hippie threshold, I must admit. I was skeptical when I went to my first event (Xara 2006), but I have to say, I had a gre...
