I have had the pleasure of knowing Tabi for eleven years. When we first met I was Guild Master of a Renaissance Performing Guild and she came as guest of one of my guild members. When her friend told me she was scheduled to be married in two weeks all I could say was "Damn". In that time I have watched Tabi deal with divorce, illness, death of family, financial stress, and emotional turmoil. Also during that time I have watched her keep up her good attitude, looking out for others even as she suffers her own pains.
If she has one fault it is that she cares too much about others. In any circumstance, her first thought is for how so-and-so will be affected. She sends care packages to soldiers, not in support of the war but because she wants the soldiers to feel remembered. She has a soft spot for ever furry creature, and many with scales (though she really doesn't like spiders).
Tabi is a bit shy, but she makes a loyal and good friend.

non slip slippers

I have been getting more requests for non slip slippers.
I have used rubber bands in my knitting or crocheting, usually just weaving it in in the heal & ball of foot. Does anyone have a better way???

Wow!!
I have not been on since May.
let's see,,,
the fires in northern CA are kicking my lungs & rib cage into submission... with me fighting the whole way.
My next event for selling will be a the Willits Celtic Festival. I will be there,, even if the air purifier is in the booth too.
I am keeping going,, one day at a time.
our home computer is not very functional for getting onto this site,, too slow a speed at home. I'll work on some uploads from a visiting computer.

Wow!!
Life can be FUN!!!
In the garden: tomato mounds are prepped & the potatoes get started on this weekend, the lettuce & cabbages are going good (we get greens on sandwiches,, when I remember), the peas are coming, up as are the radishes,,, some of the carrots are growing, the onions are doing good, & we are still working on the IF's of having squashes (water limits & such are making us think hard on it). finally able to check this site,,
Getting settled in the new place,, still lots to do with the organizing of it though.
Plunty to do,, knitting classes each monday (1:30-3:30pm), thursday (3-5pm) and the 3rd & 4th saturdays (10am-noon) of most months,, working on the cottage, & the never ending knitting. :D:D oh,, and the soldier packages that I send out,,, one is aiming home (we hope,, she's in limbo right now,, no mail:{) & I just received one of the christmas boxes back from the gentle...

21.6 kbps is VERY slow.
still working on catching up on tribe groups.,, the speed does not help,, will have to look at satilite.
